This is an interesting coin, the 2017 1oz silver African Leopard from the Republic of Ghana. There was a little controversy surrounding the early released versions of the coin as its face value states 100 Cedis.
100 Cedis at the time of this post is equal to £17.00 or $22.50, more than the value of the ounce of silver cointained in the coin, all subsequent coins have been altered to the nominal 5 Cedis. There are 5,000 x 100 Cedis version and 45,000 with 5 Cedis face value.
Shame about old whats her face being on the coin but the texture of the face is quite smart as its suppoesed to replicate the skin of a leopard and i have also enjoyed photographing the reverse and trying to highlight the spots on the gorgeous beast, great coin and i hope there are going to be future Ghana Lropards in various poses to tempt my hard earned stacking funds.
I haven't seen this one before. That is a really cool story about the face value. There is now quite a premium on the 100 cedis coin. I just checked E-Bay and they are going for about twice the amount of the 5 cedis version.

Oh thats cool, ive not checked how they were doing or what they were selling for, smart :)
I love this coin. Missed out on the early release and I was even told to get a few as they could fetch a pretty premium now
