John James Audubon is an American naturalist, ornithologist and animal painter. The author of the work "Birds of America" ​​- five luxurious albums of a huge size of almost half the human growth. Audubon's book includes almost a thousand images of about 500 different kinds of birds. He spent almost 12 years exploring the birds all over America and shooting birds to then draw an accurate picture.

Here the bird is depicted with great care - from a strange spoon-shaped beak to a fantastic pink plumage. Audubon sought to classify birds in North America, and his scientific studies served as the basis for the richly illustrated book Birds of America, which included 455 tables. Audubon studied painting with the famous French neoclassicist Jacques Louis David, combining the skill of the artist with a passion for ornithology, he found a practical application for his talent. Although his book on birds is devoted to North America, Odyubon found funds for its publication in England. Published in the end in America and Britain, the book remains to this day a wonderful work of art and an important scientific document. The last seven years of his life Audubon devoted to the compilation of a similar volume of the Four-legged America, where also the refined skills of the illustrator are combined with the knowledge of the naturalist.
