2017 CLOSES WITH A CRIPTOMONED CLIMB WHILE THE DOLLAR FALLS AT ITS LOWEST VALUE IN A DECADE

Financial markets are preparing to close the prices for this 2017, a scenario that allows specialists to evaluate the performance of various currencies internationally. In this way, the dollar, the euro, the pound and even the cryptocurrencies have become a topic of discussion in the stock market due to the fluctuations that these assets have had this year and the projections that are presented for 2018. According to sources of Reuters, the dollar fell at its lowest level in the last three months of the year, coming to be quoted at the same values ​​of 2003. This depreciation of the US dollar is due to the doubts that prevail in the sector of investors in as to whether the economic growth of the United States will continue in view of the new taxes applied last week, a situation that has not affected the cryptocurrencies. President Donald Trump recently made public the signing of a new tax reform, rewriting the tax code that had been part of the presidential agenda of the presidential office and that is considered the most dramatic tax transformation in the United States for 30 years . Specialists believe that the dollar can lower its price even more in 2018 because banks will lower financial stimulus and the Federal Reserve will raise interest rates. However, none of these dizzying changes will affect the cryptographic currencies, which also suffered a downturn in the last days of the year due to the tightening of regulations against speculation and the expected correction of the market. For example, bitcoin increased its profits by 1400% in 2017. The cryptocurrency would have reached $ 20,000 per unit, values ​​that were related to the launch of bitcoin futures of CME Group and Cboe. Nowadays, each BTC equals more than $ 13,000, an estimate that is due to a general correction of the crypto market. Although in the final balance the cryptocurrencies such as ether, ripple, litecoin, increased their values ​​significantly, 300% on average. While the cryptographic currencies begin to recover again from the regulatory tensions, the European Central Bank is also planning to raise the interest rates for 2018, a situation that together with the high commercial activity and inflation could raise the value of the euro. According to specialists, the euro has better chances for a good performance as a currency in the next 14 years. Likewise, its upturn to the dollar, which also weakened against the yen, the pound sterling, the Swedish krona and the Swiss franc. Chris Gaffney, president of the World Markets agency at EverBank in St. Louis, Missouri, also commented on the current situation of the dollar against other market assets, with next year being a difficult period for the US economy:

The dollar will face more headwinds in 2018. The Fed will not do it alone in terms of removing more gas from the stimulus pedal.
