What is tag and how to use tag?
Today I will discuss another very important topic. Today's topic of discussion is tag. You may have noticed that there is a box below the body portion of the post . That box is mainly for writing tags. Now the question may come to your mind what is the tag?
Tags are keywords for the topic you write about. That is, if you make a post about the recipe, what tags will you use in that post? You should use tags that are relevant to your post. For example, you can use recipes, food, cooking etc in recipe posts. Again suppose you post a travel post. There you can use travel, journey, photography etc. As tags you should use words that are relevant to your post. Using irrelevant tags is called tag spamming.
But there are certain rules for writing this tag. For example, on the Steemit platform, you have to write the tag in the box provided for writing the tag. But there you don't have to use hash like in other places. Entering a tag followed by another tag is the way of writing tag. But you can use hash if you want to write any tag in the body. If you post on your wall, you can use up to eight tags in that post. And if you post in a community, you can use seven tags there.
No matter what language you post here. You must write the tag in English. But you can't use any capital letter in tag. Again you cannot use any number at the beginning of the tag. Relevant tags are a very important part of the post. Because let's say I'm looking for travel related posts. In that case, if I start looking for the travel tag. Then I can see all the posts in which the travel tag is used. Basically the posts can be differentiated through this tag. That's why we don't just have to learn how to post. Also learn to use relevant tags in posts.
