It's been a long week and this is my last training session of the week.

There have been a few up's and downs over the week. Early on, I thought I was over training, Then I started crushing my training sessions, then I needed to miss some for work. By the time the weekend came around, I was looking forward to getting out on the road for some of my longest rides coming into Ironman New Zealand in March.

Today's run was a run off the bike to help me get used to the transition of using different running muscles from cycling to running. The was not as good as I would have hoped. I felt good getting out of bed but my legs struggled to turn over as I started. I got through the ride and that took me over to my run. It has been 4 days since my last run, which is pretty rare to happen. I had missed a training session on Friday, but I am not one to make up training sessions. It was good to get out an run, especially after my ride. Even though I have not been training as much I have in previous years, my running off the bike has improved, so it will be interesting to see the impact on my times on March.

That's a good pace for a 5k run, it's over 10km/h.

What sort of pace do have planned for the run in the Ironman?

Thanks for that @khufu hoping to keep that pace for the Ironman run as well.
