"One Picture And One Story Week #88"

A message came into my phone and a notification appeared on the screen. A message informing me that my cousin would be returning from out of town. He had been out of town for almost a decade and now it was time to visit his hometown.

Not long after hearing the good news, I and the others went to pick him up at the airport. How unhappy my heart was, a relative and best friend would be returning home and the longing that had been pent up could finally be released. This body seemed impatient to hug his body, and this hand felt so itchy it wanted to pat his forehead.

For the last time I patted his forehead at the airport because he would be far from me, I still remember he always smiled when I patted his forehead and didn't reply. Even though we were far away, I never forgot my friend, we always exchanged news via voice messages and video calls.

When he was in a beautiful place or he was traveling, he always called me and told me about the beauty of the place he visited, because he knew that I also wanted to go to the place he visited, it was just that the cost was limited so I couldn't go to the place he visited.

For half an hour we waited, finally the plane we had been waiting for arrived and landed safely. I could see people smiling happily and their tears falling waiting for the arrival of their loved ones.

Including me, shedding tears seeing people crying happily 😅, I could feel the deep longing they felt, for a moment the plane door opened and from afar they waved to their families.

I also saw my cousin get off carrying a little daughter who she had just given birth to a few months ago, at that time I only saw a picture of the baby on my cellphone and now it was time to see it in person. He came over to us and we were surprised that my cousin had grown so fat that we almost didn't recognize him anymore.

We were happy to finally meet and our steps out of the airport, will soon go home to celebrate by eating together at home.
