Rajnigandha flower and its beauty. By @ruma0630
This flower is often used for home decoration and weddings because of its beauty. As a result, it has been cultivated commercially for a long time. As rajnigandha flowers are cultivated throughout the year, there is a high demand for them in the market. But fewer flowers bloom in winter. Rhododendrons are propagated by grafting their tubers.
Tubers should be planted between March and April. This flower is cultivated commercially in the Jessore, Savar, Narsingdi, etc., regions of our country. In warm, humid regions, rosin grows well.
Its production is highest in nutrient-rich loam or clay soil. In our country, Rajnigandha is generally available in three different varieties: single, semi-double, and double. Single Mexican, Pearl, Bombay, and Calcutta variants.
Double varieties also have brilliant and double pearls. Farmers in our country cultivate double, semi-double, and bright rosin varieties. Among them, there are single flowers with a single row of petals which are both white in color and quite fragrant. Bright, semi-double, and double-type with at least two petals, slightly red in color and less fragrant.
Rosehips keep their freshness in a vase for 7 to 10 days.
The extract of this flower is used in making perfumes because of how beautiful it smells. Its promise in international trade is high because of its profitability.70 to 90 days after planting the tubers, the plant starts to stick. A sharp knife should be used when cutting the steak. The first flower on a rosin Gandhara stick should be cut off immediately after the stem. The best time of day to collect flowers is early in the morning or late in the afternoon. Make sure the stick is 1.5 to 2.5 inches above the ground when cutting it. To keep the flowers and stems fresh, immediately after cutting, the lower part of the stem should be soaked in water and stored in the shade.
Loss of water from rosin flowers and leaves can cause the flowers and leaves to dry out. For this, the excess leaves should be cut off quickly. The cut part of the root should be immersed in water for about 4 hours in a cold environment after making the bundles. Then the sticks should be wrapped in wet newspaper and black polythene.
