ColorChallenge: Green Thursday Ferns
Green can usually be found a lot in Washington, where I took my first trip to last Summer. I remember walking through the lush wet forests there and loving every moment of it. I especially fell in love with these ferns when, out of curiosity (because I like touching everything I walk by), I turned one over and found a pattern of orange dots on each one!
Cool! I had to give a full class lecture on ferns in botany, so i should know what those are called, but I don't remember...basically, that's how new ferns are made, the spore comes out of those.
Very cool. Now I look under every fern I see. Once I saw little black spores.
