His History

This day has its origin in the United States, around the year 1908, where approximately 15,000 women marched through New York City to demand shorter working hours and better wages by then.

For those times the Socialist Party of North America declared the first National Women's Day, which was celebrated in the US on February 28.

But later, in 1910, a woman named Clara Zetkin, a member of the Social Democratic Party of Germany, floated the idea of establishing an International Women's Day.

But this proposal should be that the day should be the same in all countries of the world to celebrate women and give them the opportunity to press for change.

This suggestion for that time received the unanimous approval of 17 countries, including Denmark, Austria, Germany, Switzerland and the USA. And it was the following year, on March 19, 1911, that more than a million women attended the demonstrations of the International Women's Day for women's rights.

Over time, many more countries joined the celebration, and a global and unanimous date was agreed, leaving March 8, 1914 as that day and date that has remained unchanged over the years.

International Women's Day was legally and officially recognized in 1975 by the UN.

In its beginnings and early years, International Women's Day has taken on a new global dimension for women in the countries of the world, as well as for developing countries and those in their process, from different types of social levels and cultural.

The constant growth of the international women's movement, further reinforced by the United Nations and many international organizations, has contributed to making the commemoration a point of convergence for coordinated and specific activities in favor of women's rights and their participation in the political and economic life of any field.

This Day reminds that Women, their integration, their participation and inclusion makes us think and reflect on the progress made, and which allows us to demand changes and celebrate the acts of courage and decision of ordinary women who have played an extraordinary role in the history of the rights of women, allowing for equal social development for men and women and giving as evidence that a female or male sex does not determine a person's capacity for success and skill.

Many women of our time give us a clear example of the struggle and capacity of their talents and of the many skills they can meet and perform in the social role, giving an example of perseverance, responsibility, hard work, and leadership. An example of this is our sister @darlenys01 who carries with great commitment and responsibility the task of directing a growing international ministry, such as HeartChurch and with it all its main activities, even without ceasing to be a mother, worker and good Christian.

May this commemorative day remember the struggle and progress that the women of the world have had to have the participation and inclusion that they currently have, blessed day and God bless all women.
