Animal Protein : Why Your Consumption Is Important

Proteins are the fundamental food of our cells and provide the materials for the formation of muscles, bones, glands, internal organs, nervous system, blood and other body fluids. They also promote the good condition of the skin, hair and nails. 


Proteins are part of the structure of all cells and tissues and represent 20% of the total body weight, fulfilling different functions such as, transport of substances through the blood, formation of hormones and antibodies, regulation of pH, coagulation of blood, muscle contraction, among others.

 
Proteins of high biological value are found in foods of animal origin: dairy products (milk, yogurt, cheeses), eggs and meats of all kinds. In foods of vegetable origin we also find proteins but most are not as good quality as the previous ones: legumes, cereals, dried fruits, seeds, etc. 

 
Benefits of Consuming Animal Protein  


When humans consume animal protein, they obtain a greater number of defenses. Eating beef, pork, chicken, fish or eggs complements the essential amino acids for the organism such as lysine, which favors the absorption of calcium and the creation of antibodies.  


The proteins of animal origin are more nutritious and easy to assimilate up to 90%, compared to the properties of vegetables, legumes or nuts. 


The daily consumption of Proteins is not only essential as energy supply but also for the repair of tissues, the oxygenation of the organism and the favorable functioning of the immune system. In healthy people, poorly designed and poorly balanced diets to lose weight with very few proteins can lead to a deficiency of this vital element. And when the body does not get the minimum amount of the necessary proteins it will begin to send warning signals.

Do not Eat Protein

Protein deficiency can be observed in the decrease of muscle mass. This undesirable eventuality, in addition to decreasing the weight by erroneous ways and causing certain muscular flaccidity, decreases the capacity to perform the usual physical efforts and cause some muscular cramps.

If the protein deficiency in an inadequate diet is accompanied by a drastic and unhealthy decrease in total calories, a sign is fatigue or fatigue maintained because the body does not have enough energy to meet daily tasks; and for an extra, well much less.

In children with poor protein intake there may be growth problems or intellectual disturbances. In pregnant women may develop problems in the fetus.
