POEM: KILLING

The burning of words
The flaming phrase
Their touch torches us

When they see that we
Defy our bound bodies
Connect like ears to a cuss

We are more in sum
Fly beyond time
In immortal ignition

For the time we shared
Leaves reality
To be remembered in cognition
