Huge fire rages at oil well in the northeast India

Oil India Ltd’s well, part of the Baghjan oilfield, has been releasing toxic gas since a blowout damaged it on May 27.

The cause of the blaze is unknown, but witnesses claim to be able to see it from 4km away. Experts believe it could take up to four weeks to douse the fire.
