Putri Indonesia
Puteri Indonesia is a beauty contest in Indonesia held since 1992 by Yayasan Puteri Indonesia, chaired by Mooryati Soedibyo [1] and sponsored by cosmetics company Mustika Ratu [2]. Puteri Indonesia will be the representative of Indonesia or the ambassador of the nation on the activities of international standard and participate in advancing Indonesian export commodities, tourism and Indonesian culture. Puteri Indonesia also conducts various social actions to areas that need to participate in providing entertainment and assistance.
Since it was first held in 1992, this beauty pageant has been absent from the event, in 1993, 1997, 1998, and 1999, so Alya Rohali became the first Miss Indonesia to hold her title for four years. DKI Jakarta is the province that won the most nine times the title, followed by Central Java with three titles, West Sumatra, North Sulawesi, and East Java, each of which won the title twice. While Maluku, Bangka Belitung, and Aceh each one degree.
