Middle age counter

Here is an ordinary counter (token) from Tournai. In that city there were many token makers and they made token during a long period until the engaver of Nuremberg took their customers with cheaper prices.
This counter is of the crown type.
on the obverse : AVE MARIA GRACIAEI
On the reverse : a cross with lilies.
