One of the things I have really seen that affect a lot of accidents most especially in my country is the fact that traffic is not properly controlled at the time it needed to and most of the time resulted in lives and properties being lost. In response to the contest by @patjewell, I have come to actually write about the future of traffic management and how we can properly manage traffic when it comes to the innovations and the possible challenges that might want to be faced actually also.

So my choice today will certainly be Traffic.

What is Traffic Management?

Alright before I even go dip today in my post, I will first of all like to explain what traffic management is but before then, what is traffic?.

Traffic generally means when there is a hold up or congestion of vehicles, cars, bikes and other forms of means of transportation. It can take place on the road as that is what we are quite familiar with actually.

• Types of Traffic

We actually have three types of traffic which involves the

• The Vehicle Traffic : This is what we are popularly familiar with and it actually involves traffic dealing with vehicles, lot of cars on the road and so there is a hold up because of congestion of vehicles.

• Pedestal Traffic : This is the second type of traffic which involves the congestion of people on the road or in a particular place thereby causing traffic.

• Aircraft Traffic : I will like to say that there is one type of Traffic we are not familiar with and that is the air traffic which involves the aircraft types of traffic but it is rare to witness aircraft traffic though.

Now that we know what traffic is and the types of traffic we have, we can now dive into what I have for today. Traffic management is the means of using structures, strategies in making sure that traffics are being regulated and controlled in order to avoid congestion.

Strategies For Traffic Management

When it comes to traffic management, it is really an important one that the government should look into because trust me traffic not been control or regulated can lead to death of lives and even loss of properties. I have some strategies in place which I believe if can be put in place can actually helps in traffic management for the safety of people

• Traffic Signal

I will start by the traffic signal. This is making availability of traffic signal in parts of the society or countries where people and cars are involves to make sure that it is bene controlled. When those signals are in place, it helps in traffic management because people will know when to move, when to stop and when to prepare accordingly to the traffic signals.

Shortly what are the traffic signals

(1). Red Means Stop
(2). Green Means Go
(3). Yellow means Caution

When those various traffic signals are in places, it will definitely help people to control how to move and thereby help in traffic management.

• Road Expansion

Most of the time I have come to discover that what actually causes traffic is when the road is not actually wide enough to accumulate the movement of buses or vehicles. One of the strategies I believe can help in traffic management is when there is a road expansion. By road expansion, it actually helps to expand the space and allow more movement of cars, vehicles and many more.

And also not only limited to road expansion but also there should be a mark where on the road, there is the space for the vehicle to move and for the pedestrian to walk. By doing so, it creates this organisation on the road as people know the space for them to walk and then vehicles also know their space to drive their vehicles. This will not allow congestion of vehicles and people.

• Traffic Enforcement

One of the ways I also believe can be very useful is when there is traffic enforcement. What do I mean by that, over the time's, we have come to discover that when there is no law, there is no sin. When there is traffic policy in place, it helps to caution people to drive wisely and also to obey those traffic laws and policy.

There should be traffic enforcement where anyone find disobeying those traffic laws and rules or policy will be punished under the law. By doing so, it will help people not to misbehave as they will want to obey the traffic laws or else they face the consequences and punishment. This will in turn help in traffic management.

I will really stop here as I conclude but one of the things I strongly believe is if those three strategies are followed in any country, it will help in the proper traffic management and makes the society a safer place to actually be.
