OVERWATCH GAME REVIEW
So first of all, I'm going to say that this game is one of the best game I've ever played in my entire life. I saw this game back in beta version(2015) a friend of mine gave me a beta code for this game. I actually didn't like it at first. I don't know, but it feels like this is not the type of a game that I would like, so I ended up not playing it. Until people and the advertisement team started to really really hype this game. Approximately back in November 2015. I started checking the game again somewhere in may 2016. Before Its actual release. I didn't know that time, that it was already in "open beta" so everyone can access it. Holy moly this game changed a lot the last time I played it. It was more lively and the community is getting bigger and bigger. I saw the potential of the game after trying it out again. after the release, the game just blew up and after almost 2 years. The game is still blowing up. Enough story time. Let's actually review this game.
This game was made by the creators of the famous Starcraft, Hearthstone, especially World of Warcraft.
After the disappointment cancellation of the game called "Titan" people were devastated. So Blizzard needs to find a replacement for it. Luckily, a blizzard guy was looking at their assets of "titan" and said "how about we make a game like team fortress 2 but with skills!(they didn't actually said this, I just assume that lol). Fun fact: some of their heroes/map came from the actual "titan" assets.
So let's get into the gameplay. I just want to say that the gameplay feels smooth. I can easily say that this game will be long-lived like their other games, put World of Warcraft as an example. Blizzard really knows how to make their community consistent, don't they?
The maps in this game are absolutely beyond amazing. The map doesn't feel like claustrophobic. The number of assets is just enough and placed perfectly. The result is that even if the maps are small. You can see most of the thing around you. Unlike in the game called "Paladins," the maps are very claustrophobic and you can't see much. To be honest i think I see more bush than the actual land ingame. In case if you didn't know, Paladins is the free version of Overwatch. Trust me, it wasn't that appealing.
Let's take a look at the heroes in this game. All I can say is that. Every single hero in this game is unique in their own way.
Take D.Va for example. She has two lives. If she is in her mech she is in her tank mode. However, if her tank took too much damage. Her mech will worn off and you'll control the actual pilot that has an auto pistol gun. Don't worry if you damage enemies enough, you'll receive enough ult charge to gain her mech back. For clarification, she has 2 ults and different ult charge. This is what I am trying to tell you. Every hero is different. Some has more skills than the other, but it doesn't mean that hero will be so much better just because that it has more skills than the other. For the games lore. Every hero has their own identity and story.
Let's talk about Overwatch Competitive OHHHH BOY! people here are actually passionate. So much passion that the OW competitive community is a toxic waste. It was good back in season 1-2 wherein every single player actually try and there are almost no toxic players. After that people get the idea of "meta" heroes and what you should play and not to. Overwatch competitve is not bad, but it's not good as well.
For my final verdict. The Overwatch community is not bad, it's just the OW Competitive Community that ruined the whole community. However, it's an amazing game, and I could play this game for hours.
