This isn't actually mining Steem. You mine another coin (usually bitcoin or litecoin) and just get paid in Steem. It does not support the Steem blockchain.
Yes, you are right but its way to get free Steem! With EOBOT you can mine Steem and they have sent it to my trade account.
It's not free (well the faucet is but that will take you months to get much). You either have to have your own mining equipment or buy cloud mining contracts.
Very true...faucets are super slow but if values go up then your time is more than worth the effort. This was just a easy way for people to kinda understand mining but in fact no where near true Blockchain mining on Pools with equipment.
