What about the kpop idols? i have seen quite the rise these years, a song even played in my country and i didn't hear anything about it the options were gaming and 1% in Samsung so what is really happening with this?
kpop is a little different story. i dunno much about it, but it's a very closed system where few guys with a lot of capital have majority of power. There's a lot of corruption and sexual abuse. Most young korean girls will say being an idol is their dreamjob, but they're drawn by the glamour that doesn't really exist. Just like any other korean industry girls don't have a chance tho. The window is so small, unless your father is rich.
I mentioned samsung as a big example. There's few companies that control the entire nation. Samsung happens to be the biggest. If you're not going for other options like gaming, now your dream job is being in a cubicle. It's not a cuble that people know. It's 7 to 12, as in 7am to midnight including weekends.
Most other options are so shitty that 7 to 12 is the most presticious job.

It's the same as mostly everywhere i guess. In terms of asian countries what do you think in scale of freedom and job opportunities it is?
freedom is a stupid idea in both koreas. people like to fake it that they're living this glamorous lives, but i know none of it is real.
asian countries in general don't have too much freedom so i don't really know.. but if i just consider financial freedom.. i'm guessing singapore?
