Marriage is a divine and holy institution ordained by God himself. Nowadays, Divorce is the other of the day in so many marriages because of lies, dishonesty, lack of transparency, cheating e.t.c.

Briefly explain a Transparency to a layman understanding?

Transparency can be defined as the ability of being open and honest to each other. It also involves telling each other the truth despite how hard it is.

What is your opinion on the need for transparency in marriage and other relationships?

Transparency is one of the key things that uphold marriage. Couples should always be open to each other in marriage. Nowadays, people hide a lot of things from their spouse ranging from their past lives, serious health challenges , child or children they had from their previous relationship, finances e.t.c and when their partner finds out, most time it leads to the end of the marriage.

In a case whereby one party finds out the other person keeping secrets, what do you think should be done?

It depends on the kind of thing the person kept away from his or her partner. Issues like finances, lying about age, child or children from past relationships can be pardoned. The couple just need to talk and settle the issue.

Serious issues like not telling your partner about your infertility issues, serious health challenges, having another family should be treated delicately. If the partner can't trust the other partner again, the best thing to do is to go their separate ways.

Have you ever been in a relationship that lacked transparency?
If yes, what did you do? But if no, what would you do?

Yes, In 2020 during the lockdown. I paid to learn how to make hair. My boss told my mom that she had six apprentice in her salon learning from her and that she always has customers. On getting to her shop, I discovered that we were just two apprentices and customers doesn't come to her saloon like that because of her exorbitant price.

As if that was not enough any time she is making a new hairstyle she would send us to go and do another thing and because of this, learning from her was very difficult. At a point, I had to leave the shop because that was the best option at that moment.

Can truth be hidden forever?

Nothing is hiding under the sun, Truth cannot be hidden. The only thing it will take is time but it will eventually be revealed.
