✅ Is it advisable to send a child to learn skills at tender age?

Yes it's very important to allow a child to learn a skill at a very tender age, because currently in my Country Nigeria it's very hard to get a job after going to the Tertiary Institution and even people that managed to get job are Corporate beggars, Skills has been the major source of income to many people including graduates. They is something called 'catch them young", allowing a child learn a skill from childhood will give them the opportunity to master the skill therefore, they won't be confused on what to do with their lives in the future when they're looking for a source of livelihood.

✅ What are the advantages and disadvantage of sending a child to learn skills at tender age.

Advantages of learning a Skill

Some of the advantages includes the following.

• Improve Creativity

It will help to nurture the creativity, innovation and skills in a Child.

• Boosts Confidence

Learning in a skill in the midst of other people especially adults will help to enhance the Child's Confidence level and Self esteem.

• Problem solving

Being charged with tasking works will help the child to be resilient and willing to develop solutions to a problem.

• Perseverance

It will help the child to learn how to be patient, persistent and enduring which will is very essential in life.

• Socialization

It's also an avenue for relating and interacting with others, giving the child opportunity to make new friends and acquire connections.

• Future Career

Acquiring a new skill serves as a stepping stone for future Career, helping Children to develop a strong sense of purpose and direction.

Disadvantages of letting a Child learn a skill

• Limited leisure time

Leisure time is important for Children's mental health and development. Learning a skill at a tender age can reduce Children's free time.

• Mental health

The pressure of combining academics and skill acquisition can cause anxiety and stress.

• Physical exhaustion

Combining academics and skill training can cause burnouts and breakouts.

✅ Did you learn a skill at tender age? If yes,relate your experience.if no,state your reasons.

No I didn't learn a skill when I was young reason being that I'm not skill inclined, not everyone is destined to have a skill so my advice to Parent is that they should ensure that their children are skill inclined before sending to learn one to avoid time wasting.

✅ Which skills can one learn at tender age?

Some of the skills that one can learn at a tender age includes.

• Tailoring

This is act of creating, making and designing clothes. It requires some basic tools like needle, sowing machine and threads.

• Hairdressing

This is the act of styling and maintaining hair. This skill requires some basic tools, skills and creativity.

• Shoe making

This is the act of making, designing and creating footwears. It requires equipments like Gum, Leather, thread.

• Baking

This is the act of combining and mixing Ingredients to create cakes, biscuits, cookies, bread etc.

• Bead making

This is the act of creating items like bags, flower vase, clothes etc. with beads.

• Bag making

This is the act of creating and designing bags and purses with materials like Leather, needle, threads and gums.

All these skills can be learnt at a tender age.
