Who's got vinyl? The aniMALS
Scary hit tunes! Eric Burden had some serious attitude. You could say he was punching way out of his weight class
Chas Chandler the bass player later went on to become Jimi Hendrix's manager and played a big part in Jimi going to London and the rest is history as they say
I've got a whole big box of vinyls, or records as we call them! Mostly LPs, some EPs even! Not this particular one, but House of the Rising House was a favourite of my sister... I must come back to this page and have a thorough look and listen at these here! :)
I always called them records too. I used vinyl because it's how people talk about them now. Records have gotten sort of popular again! Youtube has been really fun looking for records i don't have and TONS of really rare bootleg stuff. I reslly wish i could spend more time listening. Just listening and not doing any multi tasking lol. I really got curious about the late 50's into the mid 70's and all the things i had never heard. Even from bands i liked a lot and thought i knew. There are live concert - bootleg- recordings of the Stones and Led Zeppelin that are really cool and just about everyone from that era. Stuff i had never heard before.
This looks like a fun show!
So true... those days, I don't think people would know what you were talking about if you said, "vinyl"! :) I need to get my player serviced before listening to them again - our original player was a Philips... and had the most incredible sound ever... My sisters who were much older would play them the whole day on Sundays... and I would be fascinated with the album covers, reading everything on them! :D Will watch the whole video later... started it but realised it's over an hour... lol. Thank you! Sounds interesting...
I love the sound of the old stereos! Young people have no idea how good they sound. My next door neighbors were 4 girls all older than me and they had all the coolest music and everything that was new and hip ... i had a crush on all of them! i remember the first time a guy pulled up out front in a hippie van with psychedelic painting all over it. The whole neighborhood was peeking out their windows. It was so funny!
I just found that video yesterday and haven't watched the entire thing either, i just skipped around and listened to a few songs then i ended up up listening to a few of the blues guys that i had no idea about when i was a kid. That's a whole other universe... hearing the songs that the Stones and Beatles and the English guys were playing when they started out by the old blues artists here in the U.S.
Haha.. a hippie van! Bet it probably was one of the VW with peace signs, pink and red flowers all over it - like the one in Scooby doo! I think all neighbours are the same... We have peeking neighbours too! :D
are you alive?
