Scattered over Long Beach here and there are some really great old Spanish Revival homes with these really beautiful tiled doors. The details are really cool. Mismatched wood beams. faux flagstone pavement. Plank door. Fancy bars over the window...
The lamp isn't original but fits in pretty well. I hope no one super tall bumps their head on it ! ; )
Love this look I wish people did more of it.
I have seen a few attempts but they really don't look right. I'm not sure if the right tile isn't available or if people just are too clueless to do it. I doesn't look overly complicated but all the little details are important. Miss one or two and it looks cheap. Ive seen failed attempts on multi-million dollar homes here!

I can think of at least one more offhand. Some people have tried to do new versions but the tiles don't look right. They look new and the glaze is all wrong. The old ones look like watercolor and the new versions i've seen people use look fake
