Bitcoin In Space, Literally!
The Blockstream Satellite has successfully launched the first satellite transaction. The operation is performed by a computer that is not connected to the Internet. The company has promised that technology will be available to most countries by the end of this year.

The information was confirmed by the head of Blockstream Satellite Adam Back. In mid-August, the company pledged to make the transactions available to residents of developing countries and poor regions. To this end, Blockstream will use rental satellites that will allow crypto-mode operations in every part of the planet. To access this system all that is needed is a computer, satellite dish, receiver and SDR USB key.
A successful BitTorrent transaction was performed during the test via the BitcoinVPC Satellite Module. The operation was performed on a computer without an Internet connection, but users would first need a connection to the global network. By the end of the year, Blockstream promised satellite Bitcoin transactions for most continents, including South and North America and Africa. In addition, the company also plans to offer APIs for developers and companies that can offer their own satellite services for extraterrestrial transactions.
The Blockstream Satellite network broadcasts the Bitcoin blockchain from space, giving almost everyone on the planet the opportunity to join the economic revolution.

The world is changing quicker than most can keep pace. It is really amazing to watch the mainstream investing shows talking about cryptocurrencies compared to the tech world. Those that understand what is going on see the huge potential. Bitcoin now via satellite. Tell me it is a bubble when you give 2 billion people who fall in the "unbanked" category the ability to conduct transactions. What does that do for their lives and economies? This is something the western analysts take for granted.
