Sleepless nights | අරගලයට ජය 💪🇱🇰
This is a very difficult time for all of us as Sri Lankans. In particular, an effort to save Sri Lanka by risking their lives without even thinking about their own lives. This battle did not start yesterday. But by now, that struggle has reached its peak. But that struggle is a struggle of peaceful humanity mixed with love.
People came forward little by little and spoke of the struggle and started their struggle peacefully on March 31st. Can you remember this? . From that day on, people realized that it is not necessary to bear everything, but to fight for it. The whole of Colombo was filled with people who gathered in that way on 9th July. Many people have come to the struggle, risking their lives. Since there was no vehicle to go in, many people participated in the struggle in trains, lorries, and on foot. When I saw some of the pictures, my body tingled. And I felt a great love for my country.
There was no way to go, so there was no big idea about going to the struggle. But I always think that I wish I could have been there. I congratulated all those going to the struggle from the bottom of my heart because I strongly felt that they were going for us. Meanwhile, we, Randula, Parami and me, also talked about going to Galle city anyway to support the struggle. We quickly got ready and came to the road with the intention of going to the nearest town in any vehicle. But even though we were there for many hours, we did not get any transportation facility. I really felt defeated. Our efforts failed, so I came back home and spent the whole day watching everything happening there on TV. When I looked at some things, I felt like my blood was heating up.
Actually, it was the first time I saw so many people at once. No matter how many politicians shouted that so many people came to our political meetings, on the very day when people gathered with emotion, people proved that is wrong. They fought with love for the country as a whole, regardless of any kind of benefit.
The inter university students' federation was a great force in this struggle. It cannot be overstated that their support is so much of their strength. Every word they said gave great strength to the struggle.
In the meantime, there were even mothers and fathers carrying small children. There was great joy when people entered the Presidential Secretariat office holding the Sri Lankan national flag. Those people won their battle in a very humane way.
I took all the photos in this post from Facebook. No matter where you go on Facebook, you can see posts showing support for the struggle and sharing their happiness. When I saw some of the pictures, I thought what a beautiful country we live in. Some pictures were able to instill love for the country at a time of great disappointment. I am very proud of the strength and courage of these people.
No matter how successful we are, Sri Lankans won this struggle in the midst of many hardships. Innumerable people were injured in the struggle. The number of people who have lost their lives is immeasurable. They sacrificed their lives for all of us who are suffering in this country. Once I was able to go to the struggle and be a small part of it, I would not be able to finish the happiness that I feel. One day, I will also go soon to join the fight to save the country. Thank you very much to everyone who went to the struggle on behalf of us.
So many have given their support in their capacity. Every single effort has lead to this point we are now in. I am sad that I couldn’t be there on that day.
Hope that something good will happen quickly. As you said, every single effort will be a great support for the struggle. Let's support it as much as we can.

There is a very long way to go. President hasn't given his resignation officially yet. Anyhow 9th July will be a historical day.
