Days spent under the Kurunegala sky| memories

There are some memories that stay in our hearts for a long time. Especially when we can't forget the times we've spent with the people we care about.Our family is special when it comes to loved ones. What could be more valuable than spending time with family?

My chuti akka lives in Maspotha in Kurunegala district. Its about 187 km from our home. It's a bit of a difficult for us to get there often because the highway is not built yet. Therefore, we only get to visit Kurunegala three or two times a year. Another reason is that it is a little difficult for all the family members to go on such a journey together.

So we went to Kurunegala last January. The corona epidemic was so severe recently that we had no chance to go anywhere. That's why we planned this at the beginning of this year.

We left the house at about six in the morning. When we left, we prepared breakfast as it takes about more than four hours to reach Kurunegala. We used a van for this. It was a big help for everyone at home to get to their destination comfortably. At around 9 in the morning we had breakfast in Pasyala area. As we went a little faster, we were able to reach Kurunegala around 10.30 am. But because it was a long weekend people had planned many trips. So the road seemed a bit restless at that time. Also, due to the opening of the Kurunegala Expressway, there was a little traffic.On the way we didn't forget to buy some groceries from Cargills Food City, Kurunegala.

It's a lot of fun to get everyone together after a while. It was especially fun for the little ones. But when they got together, there was a lot of noise. When we got there, akka and aiya were very happy to welcome us. Due to the hot weather, we felt a bit tired. So we thought we'd have lunch and go for a walk in the evening. But because of the fatigue in the evening, we decided to start our next day's journey.
