It has been directed and written by Ganesh K. Babu. Kavin Raj plays the role of Manikandan, also known as Mani, and Aparna Das plays Sindhu Manikandan.
Manikandan and Sindhu are final-year college students who are in a relationship. However, their lives change when Sindhu becomes pregnant. Mani asks Sindhu to have an abortion, but she refuses, and they decide to rent a house together. Due to Mani's alcoholism, he mistreats Sindhu by neglecting her and not caring for her. After Sindhu gives birth, Mani goes to the hospital to find Sindhu. But she had left the hospital. Then Mani had to ask for help from others to grow this baby. Mani decides to take care of the baby and names him Aditya, as they discussed before.
Years later, Mani searches for a new job and ends up working for the same company as Sindhu, who is now the manager. Initially scared to work in the same office as Sindhu, Mani eventually feels good about going to work. One day, Mani brings Aditya to the office, and when Aditya introduces himself as Sindhu's son and Mani's child, Sindhu realises the truth. After clearing up the misunderstanding, Sindhu, Mani, and Aditya reunite as a family.
My favourite character in the film is Manikandan. Initially, his character is not likeable, but as the story progresses, he becomes a very lovable character. His transformation from a man trying to abandon his child to a loving father is inspiring. The way he nurtures his child is heartwarming. There is a touching scene where Aditya shows his love for Mani by not asking about his mother, knowing it is a sensitive topic for Mani. This shows the depth of their relationship.
Mani:
"Why don't you ask me about Amma?"
Adi:
"I know father doesn't like to talk about mother. So I don't want to know about mother".
