Steemhomework for the week / "Excursion to the fire station"
In our educational institution students are offered during a period the different professions that exist in terms of service to the community. As a culmination to the Thematic Unit of the professions, we made an excursion and a nice educational visit to the facilities of the fire station of Our city.
Children can review "in situ" all the vocabulary learned during these last weeks regarding the tools and the varied functions performed by firefighters.
Once we get to the place we will have fun playing with the flame retardant foam, we will take a ride on the tank truck, the bravest even dare to climb the rescue ladder.
This part is always like the fulfillment of a dream, because they live something real, because they know very close these special cars and stop being that fantacy of not only having them at home for play, but they can feel it at real size.
Undoubtedly, more than one of our children is definitely delighted with this profession so solidary and professional, by the fact that they learn to see this profession differently. Once this visit to the fire department is made, the children watch and learn how they help each other when that cyrene touches.
OBJECTIVES OF THE ACTIVITIES TO THE FIRE FIGHTER PARK:
The main objectives of this activity are: to raise awareness and approach the profession of firefighter to students and give basic advice on prevention and safety.
OBJECTIVE:
- To know closely the work carried out by firefighters and the operation of the Park.
- Value the community service provided by the Fire Department to society.
- Recognize the basic risks that can be found in their daily lives.
- Acquire knowledge of self-protection, prevention, safety and response to emergencies.
- Learn how to avoid fires, which objects are more dangerous and what to do in case of fire.
- Learn what the emergency telephone number is.
- Discover which are the main protection equipment such as extinguishers, -hydrants, etc.
This excursion to the fire station pursues that the students approach the day to day of this trade, allowing to know the facilities, the equipment, vehicles and different actions in cases of emergencies, besides transmitting to the students a very real vision of his profession.

We want to thank in advance all the personnel of the fire department of our city, for the protection of the citizen, the treatment and the dedication that they offer in this special day for the children of the educational institutions, so that the smallest ones can be sensitized with this noble profession. And let them know that there are people taking care of our lives without being our relatives, only for the vocation of service of their hearts.

Love this :) I remember going to the fire station on a school outing when I was a kid, it must have been fun, because I remember quite a few things very clearly. Fun and educational too!
