Today, I am very happy to see this added feature in the Utopian.io post here.

Now that we can put in our suggestions about minor features/enhancements to this Utopian Open Source project, I want to contribute my ideas to this platform. The people in the Utopian team are working very hard these days to make this platform as good and efficient for all people to contribute to open source project work. Truly a great shout out to them and to all the moderators who need to read all our posts to get them approved. Your time doing this is much appreciated.

A Valuable Feature for us Translators - ADD Attachment Feature

When we use @Utopian.io to hand in our translation work, some of our translation work is very long taking up more than 20 pages. So sometimes we end up just showing a few samples.

I am wondering if it is possible to build in these extra features into the Utopian Editor Section here.

Make The Added Feature is Called "Loading Attachments"

We are asked to give as much detail and provide screen shots about our ideas. So I will lay out in steps of how this cook feature can be added to the Utopian Editor Page.

What It Looks Like Now

I propose to add in this feature right where presently we see the "Select Image" icon.

Right now, we can only add images of our print screens.

The Expected New Feature Look - Upload Attachments

I propose to turn this "Add Image" to "Upload Attachments"

The following screen shot might give you some idea to implement this. So instead of being able to upload only images, then we can have more options in the upload.

Expand the Uploading to Something like a Resource Area Drop Down Menu

So in this expanding feature of uploading more attachments, I want to propose 3 things that we can attach to our posts.

1. Keep the image uploading that you have before.
2. Add in Files attachment like .doc or .pdf
3. Add in Video Files attachment where we can upload videos directly from our computer

So in this Resource Area of Uploading attachments, maybe you can add these in the drop down menu.

Why this Feature is valuable when we do translation to open source projects

If this feature is added, then it helps us as translators to be able to post quickly our work.

1. We can quickly post our translated word in document files
2. We can also create videos to proof our work

I truly feel that this added feature will make it easier for translators who are involved in translating different Open Source projects to show what we have contributed. I think the 'process' is as important as the 'end result' as other translators want to get involved in this open project to contribute. When they see videos of how others have done it, then they will quickly learn the skill on hand.
