Poem

I am certainly no poet but this poem of my creation has been with me for 6 years.

"Ancient powers which reign on high grant me the powers that cannot die.
I give my soul to live forever in this world of pain and pleasure.
My mind and body shall forever be in this world of uncertainty.
Physical body shall be forever in this plain of pain and pleasure.
Time shall come and time shall go but by your hand I shall be here forever more."

I have always called the poem "The Immortal's Prayer". May people with whom i have shared this poem with have put their own personal meaning to it.
