Today's coin is a 2020 Tuvalu $1 "James Bond".
It weights 1oz (31.107g) with 99.99% silver purity and Brilliant Uncirculated finish. Its mintage was 30,000 units.
The name is Bond, James Bond. The iconic catch-phrase summarizes the character all in one. First conceived in Ian Fleming’s 1953 novel Casino Royale, the James Bond saga has produced 15 books, 26 movies in which eight iconic actors have played, and billions of dollars in revenue. As a suave, debonair, cool, and ice-cold operator that is 007 is admired for his “shaken not stirred” attitude towards both his missions and his life.
The reverse, engraved by Lucas Bowers, is the legendary gun barrel, which was featured in the first James Bond movie, Dr.No, in 1962. The gun barrel sequence has endured to this day, and features as the introduction to open every Bond film. Centered is the 007 logo, with a Walter P.P.K gun attached to the 7.
The obverse, designed by Ian Rank-Broadley, shows the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II.

The character of James Bond has been and will be around for a long time. It's hard to believe that Sean Connery, who starred in the first and for several after, 007 movies, died last Saturday!
