# 303 - 1967 Canadian Proof-Like Set
When I was in Toronto, last November, I ordered on-line three different year sets of Proof-like Canadian coins. The years were 1964, 1965 and 1967.
The coins came in the original Royal Canadian Mint wrapping and they are pristine.
The only problem is that I could not turn the coins, so it is a little weird to look at them because you must move your head to see each coin.
The $.10, $.25, $.50 and the $1 are made of silver with 80% purity. They weight 2.33g, 5.83g, 11.66g and 23.33g respectively.
I will show now the 1967 set. This set commemorates the 100th Anniversary of the Canadian Confederation.
All the coins depict specimens of the Canadian fauna.
The $.01 depicts the rock dove.
The $.05 depicts a hopping rabbit.
The $.10 depicts a mackerel.
The $.25 depicts a bobcat.
The $.50 depicts a howling wolf.
The $1.00 depicts a Canada goose.
The obverse shows the portrait in right profile of Elizabeth II, when she was 27 years old.

Very interesting idea to show Canadian fauna on circulating coins. Of course they don't circulate anymore...
The silver coinage was not minted since 1967. Today it is impossible to find circulating silver coins in Canada, but in US you might find.
Nice looking set, we have a trial coin in Australia that looks similar to the $1 dollar coin. It was never released to the public, but some were made in 1967 also, cheers mate.
