# 239 - 2016 Olympic Games - Final

in #steemsilvergold8 years ago (edited)

Today I will continue to show a series of commemorative coins issued by the Casa da Moeda (Brazil's Mint) in 2014, 2015 and 2016.

They commemorate the 2016 Summer Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Those are circulating coins and I found them in my pockets, along these three years.

They are bi-metallic stainless steel center in bronze plated steel ring, weighting 7 g. Their nominal value is R$1,00 (one real).

The first one is the Athletics.

The second is Paratriathlon and the third is Golf.

Their mintage was around 20,000,000 each.

I hope you have enjoyed this article.

It is a pity that it ended... Do you have any of the silver ones?

Yes, I have only one of the silver ones. The price Casa da Moeda was asking for the silver coins was huge. It was, at the time, more than U$60 for a little more than half-ounce of silver.

@ronaldoavelino fantastic! Really enjoyed the Olympic post series! Thanks for sharing!!

I am happy that you liked it. Thank you for the visit and the comment.
