Continuando nossa série de $.50 Comemorativos Americanos, vamos mostrar hoje o 1935 "Texas".

Como todos os $.50 comemorativos, ele pesa 12,5g com 90% de pureza de prata.

Esta moeda comemora o centenário da independência do Texas do México em 1836.

O obverso mostra uma águia segurando um ramo de carvalho tendo uma grande estrela ao fundo.

O reverso mostra a figura agachada da Vitória Alada com a mão esquerda sobre uma representação do Álamo. Ao lado temos retratos dos heróis texanos Sam Houston e Stephen Austin.

Um total de 9,996 moedas foram distribuídas na Filadélfia neste ano. O preço atual é de cerca de U$250.00 neste grau.
