Fighting for humanity
You need to come back to reality. There are ordinary people out there fighting for their lives, freedom, justice, gender equality, human rights, for democracy on behalf of humanity. These people are real modern day heroes! We should be talking about them everyday. Don't be afraid to express your thoughts and support for them. The people of Afrin are under attack and your silence is killing them more than the bombs and bullets that rain upon them. You will look back on this time and know you had done nothing...

From my position , a Dutch citizen , i can do so little .
It might help that i never ever voted for state or government .
I do not support the king or his henchman . I do not support war .
Borders and nationalism are the biggest danger to our entire species .
I wonder sometimes , what if i went to Afrin ( or an other place like it ) and offer my help , in defence or rebuilding . After all i am an good technician .
It would mean that i have to go all the way , like in Charles Bukowski's poem , Roll the dice .
It would be better than being here just waiting around to die .
I hope those ordinary people forced to become defenders of there freedom and peace have the strength to survive , stop this war's and find the live they would like to have .
Call me a dreamer , but i am sure i am not the only one .

The little we can do is more than the nothing that most do. I wonder the same. I'd go all the way as a fully experienced engineer, as of yet I'm not that experience. Thank you for your comment. I'm also one of those dreamers, nice to meet another one.
