El frailejón
Es una planta típica de los páramos Merideños, en la época de lluvia comienzan a creser nuevas espigas y florece en el mes de septiembre al final del invierno, durante el mes de octubre los páramos Merideños se adornan de color oro ya que su flor es de color amarillo. Las hojas del frailejon preparadas en infusión calman las afecciones renales y pulmonares combatiendo el asma y otras enfermedades de las vias respiratorias.
