NEW LITTLE PAINTING. Ibiza inspiration1.

Hi Steemians!
since we have started the month of September I have started to use my two to three hours at work to paint small paintings I want to make for a Christmas affordable art fare we have in Ibiza.
In my firefighter job we have between two to three hours a day to ourselves if we don´t have fires. After doing physical training and checking all the equipment daily then we prepare our food and can rest till about 4pm. Then we have to do other practices or jobs. We patrol the island checking our water deposits are in good shape, checking on the plague traps for insects that affect our forests etc...
So in this building we are in on call we have many rooms available. It used to be an old military base.
I have a desk and paints and small format bases to paint there. So I have practically made a small portable studio. If we are called for an emergency I can just leave it as it is.
As a painting palette I use an old ice cream plastic container up side down. It´s very practical to transport and cover as soon as I have to go and do some other job. That way the acrylic doesn´t dry.
As you can see I really take advantage of any time I have to be creative.
So this one I´m showing today in the first that I have finished. Others are on the way.

I shall be posting more of these as I get them finished. Hopefully I get better pics next time. Sorry the phone camera isn´t too good. I need to take my camera.

Hi @romanie ,That is, you use your rest time to paint, you do not rest, but since painting is your passion, I suppose it relaxes you, and if you leave your work quickly, everything remains as you leave it, I like that there is no interference in your creation, it strikes me to think that we are already thinking about the month of December, life goes by in an accelerated way.

Thank you Lupega! you are right...I´m not too good at resting. I should do more of that but I must admit that painting is a way of resting for me! I do think ahead out of habit. I wish I didn´t. I was brought up by a hippie who never knew what would happen the next day and that made me develop this habit . I don´t like to depend on others and If I don´t plan a little I have no choice. I prefer to have choices. :-)
