all it takes for Steem to take off
Steemit is a great platform, and everyone reading this blog would probably agree that it's one of the best application of blockchain technology so far. The value of social media platform is based on the number of users and attention it gets. Steemit has great features that other social media platforms like Twitter do not have - censorship resistant, decentralization, immutable records and reward system. It's a much better platform for groups like wikileak to publish their post without potentially being censored by central authorities.
So I think all it takes for Steem to take off is couple high profile explosive posts, and it will get huge attention and people will start to realize its value. And I'm happy to see the governments go "can we shut this thing down?".
Steemit is the next generation social media and we are enjoying it now. As an early bird, we are priviledged to be here. The huge articles are coming in and the publicity is also working well. Soon we will exceed all other social media
