Scared Scavenger

Secretive animals, Black-backed Jackals usually move around under cover of darkness, but just as the sun was setting we spotted this young jackal as it began its evening activities. It ventured pretty close to us, and was quite curious, but eventually its fear of us took over and it ran off, but kept looking back towards us. I wonder if it was as curious about us as we were of it?
