Awesome and impressive post! You're a really good writer. I'm trying to adsorb everything you've written. I can relate to a lot of it. It's great to find so many like-minded people here. By the way, I'm Canadian too (west coast)... just entering my thirties as well, and looking for a higher calling... Have been for most of my life. I lived in Thailand for six months, but never been to Bali. Would love to be chilling on that beach right there... But would need a parasol to protect my Great White North skin!

I lived in both Vancouver & Victoria before - originally from Edmonton - the west coast rocks!
I also did a year in Thailand earlier on. Got hooked on the SE Asian island vibe. Though, Bali isn't as peaceful of a paradise - SO much development, traffic, and chaos. Moving back to Canada in November and quite looking forward to the benefits available in the first world now... :-)
