A Great Hotel and Restaurant

A plan stop after a flight and two plus hour drive, in route to a destination in California. I took many beautiful landscape and sky pictures. However this post is not about those drives by photos. It not about the beautiful hotel either. This post is about a great meal with my favorite drink, in a very nice mostly empty restaurant.
I check into the hotel and immediately flop down on the bed. I was really tired from the flight and the drive and fell asleep for an hour or more. I was surprise but happy I had taken a nap. I had planned to go straight to the restaurant after I check in. It was a short walk across two parking lots to the restaurant. There were only a few cars in a big parking lot and my first thought was that the restaurant might not be open but I was told at the hotel that they were open.
I walked into the restaurant and was immediately greeted with smiles by a lady and man who seated me at a table and flop down a basket of tacos and sauces.

When I was handed the menu I didn’t really recognize anything but saw the picture of this big taco shell at the top. I immediately handed the menu back to her and said I’ll take that taco shell and a big margarita. We both had a very big laugh. I don’t remember much that was said, except when she left and said “Well that didn’t take long”. It was only a minute or two before the waiter brought out my margarita and a few minutes later brought out the taco shell.
I realize then that the margarita wouldn’t last long and I was going to need a beer. I was a little hesitance to order another drink when I hadn’t finished the first one but I thought I would go for it. Many of the restaurants at home won’t let you order two drinks at a time. Well it wasn’t a problem at all. I was only asked what size. I had already planned to ask for a 16 once of whatever they had on tap.

I really enjoyed the meal and the quite atmosphere. The taco shell was really good and about half way through the taco, I put the fork down. Then I just picked up the whole taco shell and starting eating it. I felt sure it was alright because the restaurant was practically empty and my wife was not there to tell me to stop.
If you enjoy a margarita with your meals or any other drink please tell us about it.
ps: (tequila not rum for the margaritas)
