Feeling down, help a neighbor.

It's difficult to feel strong, positive, and happy, when you're perhaps a little down. There are many anecdotes and little help suggestions which all hold some value. I have found, over the past couple years, that what works best for me is to help someone else with anything that they are perhaps having difficulty with. It is, at times, extremely difficult to achieve but, if you can find a little extra spark somewhere within, the spinoffs which inevitably follow after performing such a charity, generally quickly help you to forget your own little problems which also, in retrospect, then appear to be rather trivial. Today I was again uplifted after I helped someone who cannot drive in traffic to get to the clinic for his and his family's medication. Whilst waiting for him-which was rather trying, in the hot sun for three hours-I began to feel extremely disgusted with myself for ever having felt anything other than gratitude for that which I have, and resolved to do my best to always try rather to help and to say THANK YOU! We all are in this together and, the sooner we all realize that we will and can not return to our nirvana alone, the better off we all shall be. No matter how big or small you are, remember, always someone bigger and smaller as well, in all senses of the thought. THANK YOU, DANKIE, MERCI, SIYABONGA and so forth, will also go a long way to making someone's burden just a little lighter.
