Blockchain Graveyard
I stumbled on this list of breaches and attacked or closed down companies or blockchain projects. It states that there has been at least 38 incidents of intrusion in this space.
My takeaway is that fundamental #security is important but hard. What lessons can we learn from these companies to prevent this from happening to startups that use steem? I think that separating roles that have some control over funds, and requiring multiple signatures is a definite must to mitigate the fallout from a breach.
If there are any missing from the page, please submit a pull request on the github page to document it! One I can think of off the top of my head is Paycoin, I don't know the details about what happened there but I do know that project is dead in the water.
