Magic talisman

Greetings earth mortals! Some people believe in items of great power, talismans, grisgris, amulets, rings, focuses, and all sorts of assorted charms and whatnots. Now I wouldn't be so careless as to say that any of these things are real. But I understand the need to believe in magical things. As humans, there are moments in life when we must use our imaginations, and create stories. Myths, legends, and all fictitious accounts, are ways to inject some meaning into every day reality. I am ok with anyone believing anything they wish, as long as they are peaceful and reasonable.

So are these magical things just manifestations of our desire for magic and wonderment? Are all the mystics of the world simply charlatans? Do you believe in magical items, or magic in general? I do not! However, I do love the idea of it. Many a night I have dreamed of far fetched and mystical things. I have indulged in the alternate realities of my dream land. I have mastered powers in those realms that one could only dream of in the flesh and blood material plain. Part of me always wishes that I could do these things in the real world.

Or...is THAT the real world, and this is just the drawing board, the sketch pad, the hub of a shared delusion? Maybe the dream world is the real one...
