Butterwasp

Hey there! In this image i have combined certain wasp and butterfly characteristics together. Ya i know, three insect related art posts in one day. What can i say, i think they look cool!!! I suppose there is nothing more to this piece than just combining things that i think are beautiful. Sunset colors: bright pinks and oranges and yellows. Bilateral symmetry is always a favorite as well, symmetry in general actually. I also really dig certain types of bugs, err...not when they are crawling on me of course, but just the basic aesthetic of them. I have always found that they look like little biological robots, and that just makes them awesome.
