The Rob and Smokie Show, Episode 10... Smokie asked Me if Dtube will be a Big as Youtube Someday and if We Need to Shoot for that ??
In this video Smokie wants to know if Dtube will be as big at Youttube down the road and should we aim to do that ??. My answer is no we will probably never be as big as YT in terms of visitors ,and we do not really need to make it a goal to begin with.
Dtube and its environment is totally different than Youtube. We have a thriving Community here that is hellbent on helping each other. Youttube not so much. Plus the rewards pool and upvotes fundamentally sets us apart from Youtube.

Personally, I kind of see Youtube and Dtube like Facebook and Google +. Google + had the potential to be really awesome. Sadly they didn't put the effort into it and they are going to be shuttering it. It would have been a hard climb since Facebook is so established, but I think they could have done it. Similarly, I think that Youtube is too established for anything to really bump it off the top. I think the dedicated community and constant development will keep Dtube from going the way of Google + though.
We are the people who keep each cyberspace alive, right? I agree with you in this comment, they are good arguments. Youtube is well established to think right now about the possibility of overcoming it, but that does not take away the potential that dtube has, it's very good, really, and in the long term we will be the people who will decide their permanence, and I think it will not be difficult because at the end of accounts... that nike is the most recognized and sought after brand does not mean that adidas is left behind, right? ;)
One day people will realize decentralization and and that day dtube will be at extraordinary level.

DTube indeed is different, it is like a family helping and supporting each other and there is excitement in here, there is fun, and of course the earnings that changes lives. What could we ask for? The steem blockchain is heaven sent especially for me and I am thankful to God about it.
