Ingredients: A Banh Mi is a French-Vietnamese sandwich, it is loved and eaten by locals and tourists alike, whether for breakfast, lunch, dinner or just as a snack. Although the sandwich is fully customizable a traditional Banh Mi sandwich consists of a baguette with a mix of vegetables such as lettuce, carrot, cucumber, chillis, coriander and sauerkraut, in addition to a selection of meats from pork floss to chicken.

Ingredients: Gỏi cuốn is a spring roll usually made with rice paper, often eaten as snack or appetiser. It is commonly served with a peanut sauce, our favourite when travelling Vietnam was the shrimp roll.

Banh xeo – Stuffed Rice Pancake – I bet you didn’t know pancakes are popular in Vietnam.

Ingredients: Banh xeo is a stuffed rice pancake, that is made up of a selection of meat or fish and vegetables all combined as a filling for the pancake. To make the pancake rice flour is combined with water (sometimes coconut milk) and turmeric to make the batter, it is then fried.
