Our love died in that cold rain
Our love died in that cold rain
my soul is exhausted for the longing to wait for you,
I feel like I can't take it anymore,
you're not here and that's subtracted the reason for living.
You were like the oxygen in my body,
your lips the water that satisfy my thirst,
your body that which feeds my passion,
those eyes that cloud my notion.
So many letters that I wrote and sent in your name,
rejected like that day you turned your back on me,
we promised to always walk side to side,
never backwards or forwards, always together.
That flower that we promised to take care of,
withers with the passing of time,
every petal is a month without you,
every spring is as cold as winter.
You turned your back on me without saying goodbye,
you disguised your smile of happiness,
was a one-sided way of loving you,
without thinking I'd ever lose you.
It was like that night's bonfire,
of passion fire that no frost could cool,
burning our skin,
sealing our today and yesterday.
But that warm fire dissipated,
we were like freshly wet firewood,
only extinguished what once existed,
and no spark could ever ignite it again.
Our love died in that cold rain...
