Dragonball Fighterz Review
Not quite your traditional fighter
Hey everyone, been taking a break from Steemit for a bit, but that's because this game has had my full attention. I bought Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite the day it came out last year and was starkly disappointed. The game just did not have the same feeling that MvC:3 had or even it's predecessors. I felt they had cheaped out on a ton of things just in the sake of making it look 'cool'. This takes me to the next best fighter: DBFz.
If you enjoyed MvC:2 or 3, this is for you
Hell, even if you were remotely a Dragon Ball fan at some point, you'll likely enjoy this title. It's also very noob friendly, allowing for auto combos to be done. But behind the auto combos, is something fierce. My first few matches online proved that trying to auto-combo a well versed player did not work out as intended. The advanced mechanics of this game are truly insane. It is one of those games that you can be good at, but will take hours to master.
There are a few cons....
Some of them you may encounter is people rage quitting, with 0 recourse. You don't get the win, they don't take the loss. The story mode is pretty okay as well, you level up and kind of choose your own path. Arcade will net you some Zeni, which can be used to purchase loot 'boxes'. ( I use this term lightly, as they are all purely cosmetic and give you no real advantage over the other players. )
This game was crafted with love
You can easily see from the first visuals of the game that it was created with such intricacy, it puts alot of other titles to shame. The way the developers literally took a 2D series and recreated them into 3D models, where it doesn't even seem that they're 3D, is absolutely stunning!
So if you like fighters
Don't hesitate to pick this one up. Hell, even if you're not that into fighting games, it's still a pretty fun one. This one is going to be racking up hours in my Steam library, that's for sure. I give it a solid 5/5. Which is hard for me to do, I never rate games this highly.
