It doesn't have to be a big thing, but don't tell them you did it. Don't mention it unless they mention it first. Maybe make someone coffee. Take out that garbage bin that nobody ever takes out. Just do the simplest thing that makes someone else's life easier.
Maybe you wanna help a stranger. Give a homeless person a hat so they don't get cold in the winter. Pay for the person in-front of you in line at the coffee shop. Hold the door for someone. Just do something to make someone's day. It might seem like a small thing, but trust me, it goes a long way.
I remember all the times that complete strangers have paid for what I was buying. I had no connection with them, knew nothing of them, but they were nice people. The first was a middle aged lady who was behind me in line, the next was an old war veteran who was standing off to the side of the checkout, paying for some people's orders...
Those people don't leave your brain(at least for me). Kindness is important and you'll get paid back for it sometime. For some of you(including me), the gratification might be the happiness that other feel. Others might be doing this in hope karma helps them out and something similar happens to them soon. Whatever it is, just do it. Be kind to others and we can all make this world a better place. Its all of us together who can improve this world. Your actions make a difference to others, no matter what you think of them. Remember that.
