How to make Steem $1 a piece again! Look at Dogecoin, so much waoww!steemCreated with Sketch.

Community is the answer.

DOGEcoin is the least developed coin. Compared to Steem, nothing is happening to Dogecoin.

Interestingly, it is widely traded among the exchanges. It does not have uncertainty with large gatekeeper such as STINC. Community is very active and engaging with themselves mainly through memes. So much WoW! The largest DOGE community gathering is the reddit forum with 128K members with 1000 daily users.

At Dogecoin's current marketcap, Steem can easily be $1 a piece. Steem should learn from Dogecoin's success. Community over STINC or @ned.

Steem is going to same direction. It is good that early devs @dan and @ned are reducing their stakes. The remaining 70M Steem from STINC should be distributed among the successful DApps.

Number of independent devs supported by the successful DApps can take care of Steem's protocol developments.

The goal is to not having a Single powerful entity such as STINC rather than dozens of them.

Interestingly, STINC is working on RockDB database system which will store most of the data in (ssd) harddisks rather than DRAM which is very expensive. The conversation is about sleek node with less amount of RAM.

The side-effect will be that maintaining a node will be cheaper for witnesses and future witnesses. There could be several public nodes offered by successful DApp business such as @blocktrades or @blockbrothers.

In future, blockchain like Steem will rule the mining world. Thousands of Sleek nodes, similar to mining rigs will support Steem like blockchain. Maintaining them will be profitable similar to ASIC miner. There is an advantage of Sleek node vs ASIC miner. ASIC miner becomes obsolete when mining difficulty rises. Since sleek node will be just a powerful PC, it will have good re-sale value. Moreover, one can build a sleek node with second-hand hardwares from Ebay. Sleek nodes will not be power-hungry ASICs, in fact they are doing useful computations and storage.

Therefore, future is in the community, dissolvement of STINC like entity from the Steem blockchain. Right now community needs STINC to make the blockchain complete. However, when the early devs or holders (e.g. @dan) get out, new enthusiasts will take over, Steem will rise more organically in decentralized fashion.

Actually, DOGE is a great example of why Steem will be great in the future! The have taken a cryptocurrency made to be a joke and have successfully decentralized it for use as it has gained adoption among ots community. They also recently announced some integration with the Ethereum network which is interesting (sorry, don’t recall the detail). Not vouching for them but instead showing the power of community when working together to achieve development and adoption which is what I expect to be done here.
